  I've become such a regular I might as well rate the place. Live music here is always phenomenal, drinks are reasonable, staff knows what the hell they're doing, and the vibe is great - classic, grungy, sexy, and home to a delightfully diverse crowd. An excellent getaway from the douchey students who generally overrun Halifax nightlife. Get ready to get wild on Thursday nights with the best live band in the city.

  Fish and chips were fresh and delicious and the cider was cool. My only issue is the live band is turned up a bit loud for the venue, so you kind of lose the bar feel since you can no longer hold a conversation. That said, the place has irrefutable charm and while the prices are slightly steep the quality and service is top notch.
