  OMG. Small, well worn old restaurant, but great service, huge portions and the best beef chow mein I have ever eaten. Will definitely be back next craving for Chinese food!

  I love my food and I'm not fussy about it. I eat just about everything you could imagine without complaints. The only specification I have is no nuts, because I am allergic to them. For some reason, nuts found their way into my food and I was sick for an entire evening, popping Benadryl and splashing water onto my swelling face. I got 50% off my meal due to the mistake, but missed a whole day of work and a business meeting because of this. I gave Jean's the benefit of the doubt. "Maybe there was peanut residue on the cooking equipment?" But now reading reviews about them giving vegetarian people chicken pieces, I'm certain the cooking staff didn't understand the instructions.

  I ordered a vegetarian dish this evening. I ordered pick up because I live a 25 minute drive away. There are tons of closer Chinese locations but I chose Jean's because I heard they have good food. Anyway, after a 50 minute round trip, I got back to find meat in my dish which I can't eat because I'm a vegetarian.
  We phoned in and they said I could come pick up another dish and give me a discount for my next order... so now I'm out 50 more minutes worth of gas driving to rectify their mistake, was refused a refund, and they also refused to deliver Yes I'm 25 minutes away, but they do deliver within 10 minutes away, so why they can't go the extra mile to make up for this is beyond me. The whole experience for me was awful. The service was awful. I will not be returning to redeem that discount because it would be spending even more money on terrible service.

  Waitress was not very formal but I didn't mind the casual atmosphere. The food was not the best quality.
  I had specifically asked for no meat in my food and ordered the Buddha plate I believe it is called so I assumed it was safe but I found pieces of chicken in it.. I tried a piece to see if it was tofu or even egg but it was definitely chicken and there was more than just a few pieces. I understand mistakes happen but many pieces of chicken in a vegetarian plate is unacceptable. They gave me the meal half off.
  I heard the waitress tell the staff in the kitchen not to put chicken in the vegetarian plate and after she had said that the whole kitchen became loud and fussy and people started to yell.
  I don't see why their restaurant is promoted, it is not anything too special but I only went there once.
