  I love the city of Halifax! And I enjoy it even more when I get a chance to dine at Minato Sushi. By far my favourite sushi restaurant on the east coast.

  Hidden gem on queen street! The owners are super nice and the atmosphere is fantastic. Minatoes is situated inside an older Victorian esque home and the decor is just really fun and homey. They seat 1-4 people downstairs but have a larger space upstairs for bigger groups.
  
  They offer a mix of Japanese and Korean food, they remain my favourite sushi place since I moved to halifax so long ago. Their tempura has egg, but you can request it without egg and they will accommodate.
  
  Literally the only resturant where I will willingly order salad, it is just so good with carrot ginger dressing.
  
  The dragon rolls are the size of your forearm. Get a veggie dragon roll (no egg in the tempura) and unhinge your jaw to enjoy fantastic saucy avocado and crispy sweet potato in an inside out roll. They have a few other Vegan options which I've sampled from time to time but I seriously dream about the Veg Dragon Roll.
