  Fantastic food with a good environment. You may want to call ahead, this place is popular... despite having ample seating it is sometimes full.
  
  Definitely a place to spoil a special someone with a great meal for an important date, or while on vacation. They have a generous menu with plenty of selection, and the staff are very professional. Plated food is well presented, and dessert selection is similarly excellent.
  
  If you live in the area you should definitely check this place out.

  I was visiting Halifax on business and I was told I had to check out the Bicycle Thief. I'm extremely glad I listened, because I had the best meal of my trip here!
  
  The food was amazing, the service was perfect, and the view and ambiance was perfect. It was busy, but it didn't feel "crowded". there was a great buzz in the room, but I could still talk across the table without yelling.
  
  If you can only visit on restaurant, make it this one.

  Our server Laura was great! She helped walk me through the menu and suggested a couple things that were on the beginner level for me. It was my first time trying seafood. The jumbo shrimp was amazing and the sauce is the best I've ever had

  I want to give this restaurant a higher rating as the food is excellent, the drinks are excellent and the waitstaff is excellent. However, after going here a few times while in Halifax on a business trip I tried to take my mother here for dinner on Saturday May 27th. The host was incredible rude, brusque and treated us like we didn't really belong in the restaurant. We didn't want to wait until 9:30 so we went somewhere else.
  Tonight, since we were looking for something close to our hotel and it was much earlier in the evening, we went back. The same host was there again and was rude again. Having grown up in NY and living in a major city I am well versed in the concept of a velvet rope, and this man treated us as though we were not cool enough to be in his restaurant.
  
  I do want to say that the waitstaff is exceptional, warm and friendly. He could take a lesson or two from them.
