  I've consistently had good meals here. Having never been to Greece I can't comment on the authenticity of the food, but I have no reason to doubt it either. ;)
  
  Clean, friendly wait staff. A little pricey for lunch, but not excessively so. All in all a great spot when you're in the mood for Greek!

  Was a huge fan of its predecessor Opa. But was truly disappointed when I returned to Halifax and tried Ela on Saturday night. Firstly the service was amazing that's why I have it 2 stars. The food in the other hand, was not. We had ordered shrimp appetizer and calimari which was ok . then our salmon and gnocchi, the salmon was very over cooked and dry, but the gnocchi was disgusting. It was green in colour, cream was actually curddled and pasta was steamed then pan fried?? It was the first time in 15 years I sent a plate back to the kitchen, it had actually made me sick that night and next day. I am appalled, I had lived opa, but I will not be returning to this ela anytime soon.

  Lovely service and decor but ridiculous prices. Chicken shawarma for $20?! The Greek side salad that came with it was all romaine with 3 cherry tomatoes and 2 olives. The shawarma was average at best. My pita bread was dry and stale. My husband got a souvlaki plate with 2 chicken skewers, half a potato and a side salad like mine - 90% romaine lettuce for $22. That is not a Greek salad. It is no wonder the place was only half full. This is average Greek food in a business park power centre at downtown fine dining prices. We both left feeling like we wasted the money and the dinner out.
