  Finally got the chance to try this after hearing about it. The food was amazing definitely one of the best steakhouses I've been to, the food was delicious and also had a few drinks which were mixed really well I couldn't taste the alcohol which is a plus for me. Price was really good too and our waiter was awesome!! Will be back for sure

  If you love steak there is no better place. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff very friendly and efficient. The waiter was very attentive and pleasant. Oh yes, the food, perfect. Appetizers were delicious, crab stuffed mushrooms for some and french onion soup for others, excellent. Steaks all around, perfection. And of course, Billy Miners Mud pie for dessert. Spent 2 1/2 hours there relaxing and enjoying great conversation with my wife and my grown childern. Thank you Keg for an enjoyable experience.

  Good food, great service and location. We ate here with my mother in law, wife and children and had a good time. When we first sat down, a glass of water broke on our table, flooding the table and unfortunately getting my mother in law wet. The manager came, moved us to a new table, and apologized, indicating that the glass was probably warm from the dishwasher and snapped when the icewater was poured into it. Later on, we were informed that my mother in law's meal was complimentary, which while not required or asked for, was a very kind and generous gesture she appreciated.
  My only criticism of The Keg is that while it is good, it doesn't present a great value. There are many other great restaurants (and steak places) in Halifax that give you more bang for your buck.
